Painting

Wildlife Art

For as long as I can remember I have been mesmerized with all wildlife. As a young teen my unrealized dream was to become a Veterinarian. As time passed and parenting responsibilities increased my pursuit of my second choice art degree lead me to a career as an Art Director. Today life has changed with the children now thriving adults and the career winding down. I have an art studio in my home and I am so grateful that I never gave up my love of realism painting in both oils and pastels. As a result in the last 5 years I have joined my two loves of art and wildlife. You’ll notice that most of my work focuses on the eyes. This is simply because whenever I actually meet my subjects in the wild whether in my backyard, at the zoo, on a Safari or on a scuba dive their eyes is how they all speak to me. I feel deep in my core that they share a lifetime of wisdom and experience with their eyes. Next time you meet a new doggy or horse in your own neighborhoods, look into their eyes and listen to their story, you might be surprised at what you “hear.”
